Darjeeling, Dec 9: Tibetans across the world continue to fights their battle although 49 years have passed since they fled their homland and a generation was born in exile.
The community has decided to come together once again on World Human Rights Day in Darjeeling tomorrow as part of the fight for its payul (fatherland). Chinese joined Tibetans to observe the 60th Anniversary of World Human Rights Day

Around 100 Tibetans and Tibet supporters gathered at the City Hall Square in New York City to mark the 60th Anniversary of World Human Rights Day. On this cloudy day with heavy rain fall by evening, Tibetans and supporters braved the heavy rainfall to protest the ongoing egregious human rights violations inside Tibet.

The Asia Pacific Committee meeting of the Int'l Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY) which was held from September 5th to 7th in Manila,Philippines concluded today. The meeting was attended by representatives from Burma, Indonesia, Nepal, New Zealand, Philippines, Taiwan and Tibet. Tibetans to Join Relief Work in Bihar
New Delhi, September 5 - After 6 months of vigorous political campaign, the Tibetan Youth Congress diverted its energy to a social cause, the relief works in Bihar which saw the biggest ever disaster caused by flood in 50 years. The Tibetan Youth Congress has set up a relief team to coordinate relief efforts and provide logistical support to those affected by the recent floods in the state.
According to the Media reports, nearly two million people and over five hundred villages have been affected by the devasting flood in Bihar. more...
